Handmade Soaps

Learn how to make soap the way your grandmother used to! This ancient method of soap making has envolved and become quite a sophisticated over the years. The new formulas and quality ingredients we have today yield beautiful soaps that are great for your skin and free of synthetics.
In the workshop you will learn the basics of cold process soap making, as well as the properties and benefits of the different oils, butters, extracts and additives.

Each participant makes a small batch of the recipe of their choice (6+ bars). As well, participants keep their own soaps mould and take home the recipes and instructions. All ingredients and safety equipment are provided, all you have to bring is an apron or old shirt to protect your clothing.

Our workshops take place at Rowan Tree Studio a lovely workshop and haberdashery in Clovelly, North Devon. The workshop is a beautiful space to learn in and is surrounded by inspiring books and craft projects.
