Patchwork quilts have a long history filled with amazing women making do with whatever scraps of fabric they had available to make what are now considered stunning works of art.  Whilst most of us cannot hope to compete with the beautifully hand stitched Amish American quilts which can command a hefty price tag of £600 or more we can all own or make something beautiful, practical and sentimental to hand down through our families.  Handmade and vintage items are thankfully being appreciated more and more and people are understanding the value of heirloom items that have been created with love and passed on to be cared for by generations to come.

I have a real passion for patchwork quilts which manifests in many forms, I make machine quilts with recycled fabric and hand finished touches, memory quilts made from childrens clothes and family heirlooms and restore vintage quilts to ensure they continue to be unique and much loved items.  Through this site I will be displaying and selling my one of a kind work as it become available and taking commissions for new quilts, restorations and memory quilts.

I will be adding a variety of quilting resources each week including a block a month and video clips of some great quilting ideas.

Do you have an old quilt or quilt top that you would like to have backed and quilted or repaired to return it to its former glory?  Please call me to discuss your project and how I can help on 02083406280.  I am also able to offer 1-2-1 teaching on quilting and quilt repair to enable you to repair your cherished quilt and add your own stamp to the family history.
